Snappy Gurus Talk
I've been super kindly invited to do a talk for Snappy Gurus Careers Week!!!(17th–23rd)
I'll be doing a fairly casual talk going over my first year post-graduation and shift into freelancing, including some of the things I wish I'd known before going into it.
Coming from a concept art specialism during my Games Art degree, the talk will look at how that path has shifted to match the current needs of the industry. Looking at other avenues and slotting in where needed as a graduate (whether that's UI/UX, marketing art, or other 2D work) has been really worthwhile, especially with how tough the industry currently is for junior concept artists.
Hopefully, the talk can offer a bit of motivation, insight, and an honest look at what that first year after graduating can look like!! :)
